Security Vetting Services
Before a person, whether a paid employee or volunteer, can work in an Immigration Removal Centre they must have an up to date Government Security Clearance of at least CTC (Counter Terrorist Checked).
Cataphract’s Security Vetting Service ensures that employers who have a contract with the Home Office comply with the Government’s legislation on confirming a person’s right to work in the UK also, their Nationality and Citizenship. All checks and enquiries are compliant with BS7858:2012 (Security Screening of Individuals Employed in a Security Environment); we ensure that our clients have the comfort of knowing they have complied with the law and done all they can to ensure that only people who meet the Home Office criteria are put forward for security clearance.
We verify all personal details as provided by the applicant and ensure that their immigration status permits them to work in the UK and they comply with the Home Office minimum standards of nationality, residency, criminality and financial probity.
Once the recruitment process has determined they are desirable employees, we undertake penetrating investigations into past employment history in addition to criminal record checks to the level required by the proposed job description. This extends, where necessary, to inquiries overseas or into public, military and police roles, if appropriate.
Each company and individual employees who hold security clearance have a personal and secure login to their own vetting account where they can ensure that their personal data is kept up to date.
